“MISS HORROR FEST” CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
No Purchase Necessary. 1. There are two (2) ways to enter the “Miss Horror Fest” Contest. (1) log-on to www.youtube.com/horrorfest (“Web Site”) between 12:01 am (ET) on September 8, 2006 and 11:59 pm (ET) on Octobor 8, 2006 and follow the prompts to upload a 60-second or less video clip of yourself in the role of “Miss Horror Fest”. (2) Participate in one of five (5) live auditions. For audition details, log-on to www.youtube.com/horrorfest and follow prompts for live audition information to be held in: Los Angeles , CA ; New York , NY ; Chicago , IL ; Miami , FL and Dallas TX . Due to limited audition time at each venue not everyone who wants to be auditioned will be able to audition. This is not a Sweepstakes, no mass-produced or multiple entries allowed. Multiple entries will invalidate all entries. Limit one (1) entry upload per person, e-mail address or household only. 2. Voting: 1 to 3 “Miss Horror Fest” finalists will be selected by the YouTube audience (from among the mostly highly-rated videos): To rate a video log-on to www.youtube.com/horrorfest (“Web Site”) between 12:01 am (ET) on September 8, 2006 and 11:59 pm (ET) on October 8, 2006 ( the "Phase One rating Period") and follow the prompts to view each contestants entry-clip and rate them. When rating, please evaluate each entry for the following the following criteria: Physical Presentation (1/4); Best Costume (1/4); Scariest Appearance (1/4); Personality (1/4). After Dark Film executives will review the highest rated videos. additional semi-finalists may be selected during live auditions based on the above judging criteria and judged by After Dark Films selected Advertising Executives. A personal approach or any other method to influence judging will forfeit contestant from audition competition. Finals: The last stage of voting will take place between 12:01 am (ET) on October 15, 2006 and 11:59pm (ET) on October 29, 2006 . Voter's log-on to www.youtube.com/horrorfest (“Web Site”). Each Finalist will get: 15 live on the Fuse/Fangoria Chainsaw Awards to make an appeal in front of the live audience filled with industry insiders and celebrities as to why they are the best choice for Miss Horror Fest. The Awards will be filmed on October 15, 2006 and will be aired on the Fuse Network on October 22, 2006 . Additionally during the week of October 15, 2006 each of the three (3) finalists will be interviewed on the Dee Snyder on his Sirius Fangoria Radio Show, with a second interview with all three finalists together and on Howard Stern's Sirius Radio Show. The Three Finalists will be interviewed together on MTV's TRL. These interviews will take place during the week of October 22, 2006 . “Miss Horror Fest” will be named on Halloween , October 31 st , Miss Horror Fest will be crowned at the New York City Halloween Parade outside of the Fuse Headquarters across from Madison Square Garden in New York City . Grand Prize: Grand Prize: Grand Prize winner will receive $50,000 and reign as "Miss Horror Fest" for 1-year. Prize is not exchangeable or transferable; no prize substitutions or other alternatives allowed except as provided herein. Sponsor not responsible for entry content, entrant costume or entrant safety during taping of entry upload or any accident, death or dismemberment, nudity or content or subject matter. Each of the three (3) finalists will receive one (1) round-trip coach airfare from major airport nearest finalists' residence to the event location and single room deluxe hotel accommodations including 3-daily meals during competition. All ground transportation and transfers to/from airports, hotels and event venues for participation at the quarterfinals and semi-final events and interviews . Personal purchases, alcoholic beverages, telephone, gratuities and all other expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters concerning this Contest. In the event of a tie, qualifying finalists or semi-finalists will be required to participate in a tiebreaker skill-based competition as determined by the judges in order to determine a finalist or semi-finalist or winner at any of the three (3) competition levels. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters concerning this contest. For Wisconsin residents only: In the event of a tie, duplicate prizes will be awarded. 3. All finalists must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity (where permitted) within seven (7) days of notification. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of prize and possible selection of an alternate partipant or winner. Failure to comply with any requirement of the contest rules will result in forfeiture and possible selection of an alternate participant or winner. 4. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Submission of an entry grants Sponsor and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in commerce and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the entrant. Submission of any entry further constitutes the entrant's irrevocable assignment and transfer to Sponsor of any and all rights, title and interest in and to the entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights. By accepting the prize or participation in the next level of competition, finalist or winner waives the right to assert as a cost of winning said prize, any and all costs of redemption or travel to redeem said prize or next level of participation and any and all liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking said prize or participation and participant or winner releases sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, officers, directors, and promotion and advertising agencies from any and all liability, loss or damage, incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize related activities and acknowledge that said parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to prize including its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Sponsor is not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost or stolen entries or incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of any entries in this Contest. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. Any entrant who attempts to play with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or uses any other device or artifice to play multiple times or to interfere with the proper play of this Contest, will be disqualified from participation in the Contest. If in the judgment of Sponsor, the Contest is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupts the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to discontinue, suspend, terminate or modify the Contest. In the event of any such discontinuation, suspension, termination or modification, the finalists or semi-finalists of any remaining prizes not yet won will be determined from among all eligible entries received to date that are unaffected by the problem, in a random drawing to be conducted by the judges following the discontinuation, suspension, termination or modification of the Contest. By entering this Contest, entrants agree that each entry becomes the property of Sponsor and that such entry may be used by the Sponsor for any proper purpose.
